Atmos by Calvin Emerson

I’m taking a momentary break from Lana Del Rey, Perfume Genius, and Diamond Rings and I’m listening to Calvin Emerson’s new EP. It’s good. No—it’s GREAT!

My general descriptors don’t do it justice. I could make comparisons between Mr. Emerson and the last two artists in my recently played list (Perfume Genius and Diamond Rings) but that seems like comparing apples and oranges. Like his first EP, the depth of his voice is a delightful surprise and his minimally invasive beats are perfect accompaniment. 

I’m not really sure how I can pick a favorite track. I’m enjoying the whole endeavour but, for the sake of brevity, I recommend Horses, Atmos, and Paradise.
