The Beautiful Monster

Ski and snowboard club today was rather volatile

I was debating whether or not to go skiing today because I stayed up late last night and I didn’t want to fall asleep racing down an icy incline and crash into a tree.. or worse, a whiney rich kid. BUT I remembered that I am awesome and went and I’m glad I did. I went on my first black diamond and it was life changing - I am not kidding haha. The run was called Flyer and I was able to gain so much speed and then the hill just gave way into this really steep groove and I was airborne for a few seconds and I felt this thrill in the pit of my stomach that was exhilarating. I was like yelling to myself “I’m the king of the world!!”

Then I went on the t-bar for my first time and it was so embarrassing. The lift attendant asked me if I knew how to ride the bar up the hill and I was really suave and was like… yes. Oh god, biggest mistake of my life. My ski got caught in a dip and I fell whilst being DRAGGED BY A PIECE OF WOOD UP A MOUNTAIN. My skis fell off and the lift had to be stopped and everyone was looking at me hahaha. Apart from the initial embarrassment it was just really funny looking back on it. The noise I made during the fiasco didn’t register as a human sound to me it was like a hormonal jaguar killing a baboon hahah.

Oh, fun times skiing w Graham.
